Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Thanks CNC Leadership

Thanks Sarah, Drew and all “Leaders” of the company that MFN built.
While he was a visionary, it seems the current regime just limps along, selling companies and wasting time/overhead with DE&I programs.
People have been through the trenches with state RFPs, Medicare Audits, system process improvements, etc only to be RIF’d by leadership.
Disheartening to know that the people in charge should be responsible for overhiring or wasteful spending. Instead they plan for budget cuts to faithful staff.
Keep wearing hoodies, wearing tight shirts and asking people their favorite ice cream flavors during all employee meetings. Sound odd to read? Even odder to experience in Zoom meeting with thousands of other fellow employees.

The facts remain that the problems MFN left behind are incredibly hard to fix (likely why he didn’t do it himself). It would be easier to sell parts of the company.

If everything so fair, what does DEI do? PL watch a few videos to say they watched it and continue treating employees so bad they come on this board to vent. This was a layoff board until everyone started expressing their frustration and still not being heard. 1500 people read these comments and no one asks if employees are treated fairly and are they being heard. They know who these poor leaders are but they’re still here harassing employees as most people leaders are too insecure to listen to an opposing viewpoint because they don’t care about growing this company. Ask in your department who the bullies and bullied are, not s secret. Ask who does the work and who doesn’t. Til then they can wear hoodies snd tight shirts and talk about icecream.

Whoever posted this must have a new PL. There are PL that have been here longer than three years being unprofessional that are to blame for everything mentioned. Go back a few years on this thread to see how long the complaints have been going. If everything had been fair there would be no need for half the issues mentioned if everyone had a voice and didn’t need to post it here to be heard.

Oh for god’s sake, stop trying to pass the blame on to MFN. He has been deceased for 3 years, and btw, no one is buying that lame excuse. The declining state of the company has everything to do with the current leadership team. Just look at the stock, number of employees, star ratings, and number of lost contracts in the last 3 years.

I like the hoodie look. I just want to know why bonuses are given to employees at higher salaries. At this rate we should qualify for the same benefits as our members, why?

MFN built the company and made the decisions that we suffer from NOW. Current leadership struggles with the lack of action when he was in charge. He could have fixed the platform issues. Integrated companies and teams. He could have streamlined the market presence and branding. He did NOTHING to fix any of that and those are the things that are truly hurting our ability to succeed.

Any more news on possible layoffs in this "shortened" week?

Not even remotely surprised. The last company-wide meeting I attended was in September 2023 right after they got caught out there in the media with their secret layoffs. Ya know the one where they were laying off thousands but could still budget to rent out the Tampa stadium for a handful of people just to keep up appearances? Yeah that one. Once that happened I lost all respect which was already waning at an ungodly pace. Nothing they can say in those meetings makes a difference at all. It's all "look at me" lip service & bullsh-t PR to please shareholders and line their pockets.
