Better to be destitute than work for WF

They will steal your info and go out and commit identity theft

So you applied mid-Dec? Factor in the holidays to whatever customary slog exists.

Most of the HR people are not WF employees, but they are contractors with very little experience. They stare at the applicant tracking system on the screen, just looking for key words. They don't know what they are doing.

No that normal. It can take quite a while. Always has. Plus nothing happens over the holidays.

HR is extremely incompetent at Wells since they don’t answer to anyone.

Could be a fake interview/job to maintain corp image.

If it’s been a month mostly likely you werent selected for a phone screen. Might not even get a rejection email. Keep applying.

They often list jobs for multiple locations and then deliberately don't hire in more expensive markets. For example, if a job is listed in Charlotte, Des Moines, and San Francisco, they will never choose someone in San Francisco.

Fake job.

There is certainly some kind of freeze going on just not sure if it affects all towers or not. There are always exceptions to the rule but my manager had to get creative and do laterals to bolster a group because they were told there is a freeze and hiring would not be allowed.

Extremely normal. It takes months to hire anymore thanks to the ludicrous number of approvals required to do anything.

It’s a fake job created for H1B or Green Card application.

Report that to USCIS and EEOC immediately.

Applied for 1 role?? Keep applying. It’s a numbers game and so many applications you submit will likely never be looked at. The majority of recruiters dont go in and clean up requisitions until a selection is made then all get the standard- sorry, play again. If you have t heard in the first 2 weeks, chances are good you won’t. Keep applying…

Normal

I applied for an internal role in November. Recruiter informed me of hiring freeze in December. Requisition canceled.

They are backfilling roles, can confirm that, as I had a screen last week for a role where the person left in Nov. can’t speak to any hiring freezes, but I am in the running for a backfill manager role in the enterprise.

I have had in person interviews with WF & never heard anything back?

There is a bank-wide indefinite hiring freeze.

It’s literally taking that long to get screenings and interviews done due to the fact that they keep laying people off. It’s full circle.

it's par for the course and should be considered a red flag either way.
