Security key bs

I think we abandoned physical tokens like 10+ years ago and i already need a phone to access a computer (wtf?). So what purpose does this forced physical security key have other than gps tracking my paid and unpaid bowel movements?

Baich hates how home grown our sh-t is and paying to maintain it. That's why he announced he was ki-ling mobilekey, and then after the hack happened made a hard pivot towards security keys.

If he could replace every dev under him with a vendor product he would, and he has said as much. He also thinks all talent in the company right now is utter trash.

It's time to move to Gradient Technologies (MIT startup) authentication (gradient.tech). AT&T is subject to phishing and session hijacking. Meshed tokens and certs are the future and only one company does this and has the patents locked up for the next 15 years.

When you carelessly put huge amounts of sensitive data in the hands of a third party, and it gets stolen because they don't follow your own voluminous security standards (of course they don't, that's why they were cheaper than the prior internal version,) and as a result you gave the world's tyrants and te------ts things like the phone data of informants and covert agents, you have to do a bunch of stuff to act like you care.

Have fun with the stuff. I am out.

There is no GPS tracking on these 😂

It's likely other forms of MFA are soon going to be sunset. Part cost savings, part improved security. I haven't looked into it much but I remember hearing there's been concern that RSA SecurID could be compromised.

It's to cut down on fraud. It's 2FA - and replaces Mobilekey if that's what you use your mobile for.
