Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Bonus Timing

We all know bonuses will hit checks on Feb 14. I’ve seen some posts that the bonus can be pulled back up to the day before it is issued. I don’t think that’s accurate.

If giving notice, what date leading up to Feb 14 is your best chance to keep the bonus?

To clear something up - WF obviously cannot access your bank account. Banking and employment are 100% separated.

That said, why risk a bonus for a couple days? Don't put in your notice - just take a day or two off (paid or unpaid). No reason to potentially jeopardize your bonus.

Get the bonus in your account and then give notice

I am on STD from Lincoln Financial too. That's been a horrible experience. However, because of that situation, I have no contact with my manager. I assume we are still paid bonus for the months we worked in 2024. Any insight for me and the other individual dealing with health issues? Thank you.

If you have a WF account, they absolutely can pull it back up to and including part of the day of… don’t do it. Move the money out of your account and then resign

If your pay goes to another bank - once you see it the day of - then you can resign.

I'm on medical leave until late February and currently receiving STD payments through Lincoln Fin. How does the bonus payout work while on leave?

Ge-z people they can pull an endless about of tricks.

DO NOT DO ANYTHING UNTIL YOU SEE YOUR BONUS POST TO YOUR ACCOUNT

DO NOT GIVE THEM A REASON TO YANK IT AWAY AT THE LAST MINUTE

Payroll is sent the Monday after the pay period ends (so February 10th). The payslips are available to see in Workday that Wednesday with payments going into bank accounts on Thursdays or Fridays (depending on who you bank with and if you have direct deposit), so if you provide notice prior to Monday the 10th, they can (but unlikely) pull your bonus back or adjust it.

I didn't see another post on this topic. Would someone care to weigh in? How does medical leave impact this?

If I give a 2 week notice on 1/31, will I still get my bonus on the 2/14 paycheck?

Feb 15th

Or Feb 14th after you transfer money into different account

You've stuck around this long. Don't sc--w it up now.

I am giving notice the evening of the 13th. My paycheck hits USAA a day early and my bonus will be in there. As an ED in CB, I have a 60 day notice period, so doesn’t matter when I give notice. Hoping they put me on garden leave, as I am not customer facing.

C’mon OP. Flick your thumb twice and scroll a couple topics down. This topic is beat to death.

Does that apply to displacements? Displaced before the 14th and risk not receiving 2024 bonus?

Give your notice on the 18th. Why risk it. Start your new gig on March 1
