Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Anyone know the cloud cuts?

Hearing HR scrambling to increase the quota's for needs growth and PIP's to be able to let people go. Are the Cloud numbers next week really that bad? Get rid of as many people as possible?

The RA count has already been decided, then by the time the numbers go down the chain to the lower levels and final decisions on the names are made it will be early March for notification.

Next RA is likely March. Big ones were in March/April and September/October timeframe last year. And the bloodbath in 2020 was May. Likely a delay from March due to covid. So predictable. So lame. So lazy. Cut senior leader bonuses instead of the hard working people...

From what I hear HR is no longer allowing those classified as low performers to go out under an RA. PIP carries one month severance where RAs are three months. If they can get rid of someone by paying out less they are going to do it.

PIP in cloud here. Intentionally vague justification. When's the RA?
