With Trump gutting DEI from every branch of the federal government do you think XOM will follow suit?

@yh+1jjftr69s you mean they left off the DUIs and the s-xual harassment allegations?
There are many highly qualified minority individuals climbing up the ranks but the obvious DEI persons cause doubt about those that are promoted fully on merit.
Exact same for white males, there are HiPo white males that really deserve the rocket that was implanted but the multitude of complete id--ts with sponsorships cause people to doubt the ones who really deserve.
The only difference between those two situations is that the white male hypo id--t got there by who he knew and the DEI persons cause got there by what they were.
Life is not fair. Get over it and do your best no matter the success of others for whatever reason.
You mean will ExxonMobil stop putting inexperienced white women into leadership positions? If that's not what you mean, then DEI is effectively working in ExxonMobil
The plane and helicopter crash was caused by DEI
Wow, left a lot off Candidate 2 experience including little facts like combat veteran of 2 wars.
If they were the best candidate or qualified people wouldn’t talk about their race. It’s when you start trying to figure out how they landed the job in the first place that the questions start coming up
DEI crusader math example: Secretary of Defense candidates
Candidate 1 experience:
- Commander, U.S. Central Command
- Vice Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army
- Commanding General, U.S. Forces - Iraq
- Director, Joint Staff
- Commander, XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg
- Defense Distinguished Service Medal
- Silver Star
- Legion of Merit
- Bronze Star Medal
- Combat Action Badge
- Presidential Unit Citation
- NATO Medal
Candidate 2 experience:
- CoHost: Fox and Friends
- National Guard Major
- Infantryman badge
Conclusion: Candidate 1 is black, must be a DEI candidate.
If you only know how much the "DEI" candidates have to prove themselves just to get the opportunity to compete, and to be taken seriously. 🙄
When university recruiting teams interview 28 males and 2 females then hire 2 males and 2 females, I am suspicious of quotas.
There's no DEI at Exxon. All new hires are Indian. What are you talking about?
Look at the universities we hire from and how recruiting teams are specifically told to hire based on race and gender. DEI is alive and well. Same story for identifying HiPos.
DEI will continue to reign for picking HiPos. Too engrained to change now.
I am so old that I remember when DEI was called Reverse Discrimination.
If DEI is such a noble respectable initiative, why is it unacceptable to point out the DEI hires or DEI promotions?
You bet, the DEI moment during our safety meetings in Clinton were SO awkward, everyone knew it was BS
Classic EM DEI Example: JV as MBPP Plant Manager
DEI hire = Code word for anybody hired except white males. Been working here for years. Mediocre white men run everything and they still complain.
Bottom line is who your buddies with. If it’s all white then it’s what it is. CX looks a little questionable. No matter what this place is a resume helper now unless you are sponsored or favored. For a place that says no bias and save money they are totally opposite in action.
The real shame is there are some really capable who should have been promoted or given opportunities. But don’t fit the mode. The few DEI they elevate the last few years are some of the most toxicity individuals I ever worked with. Just incapable yes-men
Will see in couple months when it comes to assessments and then later in year potential setting process. There has been a lot of open criteria and manipulation in recent years by VPs/SVPs/HR during both of those processes based on DEI and not merit. The Corporation is very exposed to lawsuits if it continues.
To back away would mean the actually had an effective DEI program to begin with. Just take a look at all the DEI presidents and vice presidents. Oh wait...
Funny how many white males are over promoted by other white males, even when they are not qualified or mediocre. But off course, it is always the minority person…
Hope so. People should get positions based on merit.
Yes. ExxonMobil will face lawsuits by the "most qualified worker" if we do not gut our DEI policy hiring since the Federal Government by Executive Order of President Trump has terminated DEI as a hiring criteria.
