Cutting CEO pay is not going to mitigate job cuts. He is paid to push gross margins, stock price and dividends to go up. He did convince Uncle Sam to pony up to subsidize money losing foundries. Chip shortage was good luck and good timing. However, both luck and time is running out…….now

The mistake people make when irrationally hating CEO’s is that they believe that they cut money from a CEO will end up in their own pocket. Never going to happen. Give up that hope and let go of the hate. Life is too short.

It is Pat’s destiny to take the helm from his mentor (Andy). There was no confusion there. He left VMW at a good time. BK and his regime should have been kicked to curb before Pat left Intel and Pat should have taken the helm then. But Renee got in the way and Andy lost power. It’s a different time now. Pat is still the best man for the job, even if his building blocks aren’t what he hoped for.

I don’t think he came to dismantle Intel. He’d love to be remembered as a great CEO. But first and foremost, he came to get paid. Mission accomplished.

That this dog faced pony soldier was passed over by the board the 1st time he came up to become CEO in favor of otellini, speaks volumes. Under his watch, Intel missed earnings by ~ $2billion….He’s exceeded his “carbon footprint” by traveling all over the world, contracting the COVID with each trip, puts a ban on travel, while he’s celebrating in Central American, then announces the latest round of layoffs… sounds like he’s about to report another record earnings $ loss. He should be given the boot and forced to pay back that $178M..

Shows you how corrupt and stupid intel is, from head to tail. Count yourself fortunate if you get the boot when you’re too lazy to try.
