5 Day RTO Isn’t Going To Happen - 3 Day RTO is Working

My Manager is fine with 3 day RTO. 3 day RTO has been going so well and most everyone I know is getting their work done. There are a few bad apples that have done next to nothing since 2020, but they shouldn’t spoil it for the rest of us.

I don’t believe management are going to stir this pot again for a long time.

They'd like you to think that they are infatuated with RTO. Some of them might be old school, yes. But most of them know that as long as the work gets done it doesn't matter. So why RTO? They want voluntary separation and don't want to have to tell you to leave. Much easier that way to avoid the difficult conversations altogether. Get rid of the easy ones 1st. Then squeeze the hangers on more if needed. Indirect approach is always the best for larger companies.

Get back to normal? It's been 5 years now since many started remotely working. I'd say remote is normal for many, and for some, especially in the 28 years and younger age group, remote work is all they've known. Stop thinking of yourself and just think.

If you're infatuated with RTO, you're part of the problem because you aren't focused on the real issues. People waste so much time working in office it isn't funny, and all just to appease old school and incompetent managers that really don't know what people are doing, and employees who can't work remote because they're poor performers or have jobs that won't accomodate it.

@c9+1jjjr6fcb to get taxpayer money, Bill Ford committed to having 5,000 employees in the train station. It’s got to happen soon, and good luck finding safe, secure parking.

IDK when RTO will happen 5 days a week, but it is coming. That new central campus building will not stay empty for long.

I sincerely hope we go back to working 5 days a week in the office. It’s time to get back to normal.

Tired of these redundant posts about RTO. It's a soft layoff to get you upset so you quit. They are squeezing you. Leave if you don't like it, that's what the objective is anyway.

0 day RTO was working fine too and work was still getting done, common logic or work getting done has almost nothing to do with RTO.
