Anyone heard that Connection Awards will be moved to a point system in the new Applause platform?

Thankfully they got rid of the Amplify feedback...I would get 25 plus 2X a year from business partners, colleagues and friends and was running out of gratitude(s) and platitudes
I haven't heard of any changes to Connections Awards. I do Know HR is reviewing the youEarn recognition program that's in place for field techs, 1L and 2L field managers. Along with youDeserve/Making a difference recognition program for managers. As mentioned, it's a point system as mentioned.
Hope it doesn’t turn into this but if the available “gifts” are broad and wide this may work out ok for some of us (but I know that cash is king for Connection Awards).
We all deserve better if this turns out as some are suggesting.

Connection awards are supposed to be given multiple times to a person in a year. However there’s usually not enough to go around. Some don’t even get it even if they are top performers
Well that'll be another reason, on top of the pile of reasons they keep giving us, to put out less effort...
Not like they gave them out anyways, at least not in the NEO org. Act of Congress to give someone one of those. Our leaders always rejected them even when people really did deserve it.

Just another way to cut costs. Instead of a $4000 connection award, you get 2000 points for an air fryer or other junk you don’t want. If it’s even that much.
Hopefully untrue.
So, too much trouble for managers to have to administer this themselves. Instead make everyone have to vote on candidates to make it even more a popularity contest.
