@fh+1jk6r5v81 you're a laughing stock and everyone knows how unqualified you are. Have a great day doing nothing, though. Just the fact that you hang out on this site instead of working shows what a loser you are.
staff VP’s are just implementing what the VP’s above them have told them to do. staff VP’s and below are decision enforcers not decision makers. If you are looking for blame for all the madness, it is on VP’s and above.
If SVP ‘s are so awesome then why is company tanking so bad? Shouldn’t you all seen these “headwinds” coming? With so many of you I expect better outcomes. Your not showing your worth at all.
SVP are vapid waste of space and money.
Current SVP is awesome. Probably the best I've had since I reported to a VP and a director II. It's not the role, it's the person.
People promoted their friends to these "leader" positions and even though they're very aware that their success is on the backs of their underlings, the friend above them doesn't care.
My last SVP couldn't do their job. The only way they knew anything or had a single idea to bring to the table was because of their team. They spent all their time going to meetings and trainings where I can assure you, they learned nothing. I could have never gone to them for the support, advice and Mentorship that I get my SVP now. My now SVP actually understands the business...you'd think that'd be an SVP requirement.
My last one should go. They are protected by their VP so they won't. My current one should be a VP. It's not the role, it's the person in it and how protected they feel.
My Staff VP doesn't have any idea what work I do, so they are definitely not the ones bringing me work. Two Staff VPs ago, after being under that one for four years, she said straight out she had no idea what we did for our jobs. Yep, I think a few could go and nobody would blink an eye. No need for a cheap offshore replacement, just a full savings on their salary, benefits, bonus, ESOP, etc.
Staff VPs are the ones bringing you work, you id-t. Be thankful that you have a job. We could RIF many more of you without noticing a difference in the work outcomes. . Several of you are swiping your badges and simply not doing any work while some work their a— off.
@a2+1 The OP is either HR or an Exec trying to get employees to leave on their own so they can pocket the money that would have gone to paying our Supp and AIP. I agree with another post on this site that the entire level of VP of Staff needs to be bulldozed completely.
@a2+1jk6r5v81...what is the point of your inept post????
Preparation ...H? Is this a clinical post? Try web md.
That’s because all the jobs are going over to the Philippines. We can thank whoever brought in carelon global solutions.
It’s probably Gail posting so she can claim due diligence in giving fair warning of a potential upcoming RIF and that she feels for her employees and is giving them advice.
Thank you so much Gail. I’ll go and prepare now.
On the plus side, they're hoping to avoid more RIF severance by encouraging people to quit after they see their AIP this year.
Oh wow, you've managed to unearth a shocking statistic that's been circulating on the internet for months. "Over 45% of companies expect layoffs in 2025" - what a bold and groundbreaking statement. I'm sure no one else has ever heard this before, and it's not at all a generic prediction made by some anonymous consulting firm.
And your profound conclusion from this earth-shattering revelation is... "Preparation is the key"? Oh boy, that's some next-level thinking right there. I mean, who wouldn't have thought that preparing for potential layoffs would be a good idea? It's not like every single person in the company hasn't already been worrying about this for years.
