Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Having trouble staying motivated; stuck working with team in India and its been awful

I really don't have any motivation to do any work; I wake up daily and have just anxiety and boredom. They take forever to respond, always have excuses and are hard to even understand.

There is no culture / no collaboration. I really don't know how US teams are working with India, the collaboration is god awful.

@OP, this sounds like a you problem rather than a them problem. I don’t think you are trying hard enough to communicate effectively with your Indian overlords. Have you called during their normal work hours? Have you met with your Indian LL6 and explained the issues with your poor communication skills? Have you booked a trip to India to better understand their culture? I’ll bet not. Honestly, this issue is on you and you alone.

Why do you need India team, do the work yourself

this is kind of getting ridiculous
when are these countries going to create their own companies
and produce things that others will buy

My experience is the opposite. They send endless e-mails because they don't understand our business. And they also involve 10 other people, and now I have to explain the process to all of them. And then, just when that's straightened out, new people are hired and I have to explain everything all over again.

They take forever to respond to you? That’s great at least they responded. I was working a project that involves a Dearborn team with nearly all Indian from manager to GSR. Guess what, they just ignore the urgent emails with High Importance, and never ever replied.
