Thread regarding BD (Becton Dickinson & Co.) layoffs

Tom is TOAST

From the Financial Times:
“Bank of America analysts noted that the disparity between Becton Di-kinson's current valuation and its potential "sum of the parts" was becoming too substantial to ignore. They estimated that a split could boost the company's value by up to 30%.”

Translation - the Tom has failed at his fundamental task and will be shown the door very soon. Oh the chaos that will ensue when our new leaders see what a mess this place is.

BD is living the in the FAFO era. After they moved much of their US based manufacturing to Mexico, now they get to deal with the threat of looming tariffs when they want to import the medical devices into the US for their customers. They want the business segment to manufacture quick quick quick and store in the US in preparation EVEN ACKNOWLEDGING rework will need to be done before it gets to the customer. More wasted time and money because of poor decisions.

One can hope. The only problem is that he will be well compensated despite his incompetence while so many others have been laid off. He has been a terrible CEO. The company will be much better off without him.

Good riddance to him. Hope others in leadership are on the chopping block too. This company has done nothing but go downhill in the last 8 years or so. Used to be proud to work for this company but now nothing but shame.
