Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

EMEA RIF and RTF

The majority of managers in EMEA are being instructed to return to an office 5 days a week to set an example. In three or four weeks their staff will be instructed to return to the office 5 days. The timeframe will vary depending on the business unit but RTO is expected for all.

EMEA is less affected by the RIFs because pre-merger Fiserv had a smaller presence in EMEA and FD under Frank already asset stripped, outsourced, consolidated offices and sold off emea businesses before the merger. Even so an SVP was replaced, around 150 people were RIF'ed last week, a large number of contractors were quietly dropped and hiring freezes were imposed to encourage increasingly overworked staff to leave. Sales and dev teams were heavily targeted for the first time.

Rumor has more layoffs and a continued reorg planned for next week (mon 24th oct) which will run until at least Christmas.

This isn't going to end. Large clients are opting to create in-house solutions instead of renewing contracts.

Can confirm IT staff is required to be in the office for 3 days. (just meantime it was 2 days) About half of my coworkers are not happy with this and are willing to look for another job.
