Can someone explain to me why sometimes we release results in the morning before the market opens, and other times we release results in the afternoon after market closes?

I don't know why the time changes, but I don't know if it is important
The questions were pretty easy, mostly soft ba--s to Farley and others.
The analysts’ Q&A and the market.
Farley has to go.
Was it a blood bath by anyone?
@bq+1jkb0dkgm - I guess you're a short timer ;-). I can tell you that we have had many years when the Earnings come out at 7:00 am Thursday and by 7:05 am we have an email in our inbox from our CFO.
In any case, I don't know what OP is looking for. It really don't matter if it is am or pm. My guess it is better to have Earnings out in pm because all the major markets are closed worldwide (e.g. London, Frankfurt, Tokyo)
For as long as I have worked here we have released financials at market close
Today, they had to announce leadership changes prior to earnings release, in hopes that the market might believe something might be better next year.
True. It’s going to be a blood bath today.
Mornings are good news, they want the earnings to be in everyone’s mind when trading starts. After is bad, they hope the bad news gets buried before the next market open.
