I don't have anything to share about what's next, but I can tell you that like every company dealing with Medicare, profit is more challenging that ever. Given that IT is typically one of the most costly areas of a company to operate, it's an area commonly evaluated for cost reduction.
If you're working at Optum, play it safe. Don't make any big purchases, save whatever you can, if you get a bonus, put it in savings. Polish off your resume. Apply at a couple of places you really don't care about, brush up on those interview skills.
