Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

How about organizing a one day walkout on first business day of 1/1?

You want to force leadership to take the workforce seriously? Since unionizing isn't an option, instead organize a one-day call-out ("personal emergency PTO day) of the ENTIRE workforce. The time to do it? The very first business day of the year in January. Now that would get leadership's attention. Could easily be organized on this forum. Leadership would most definitely make hollow threats against anyone who happened to call out that day, but seeing as employees don't have to provide a reason for using PTO days, if leadership tried demanding the reason you called out, you simply tell them that is illegal and you have retained legal counsel an employment attorney.

Can't believe no one here until now has thought about organizing a one day walk-out on the very first business day of 1/1. The importance of that time period is all Cordani and ELT ever talk about!

Imagine thinking that organizing anything like this is even remotely feasible

Many of the people who actually like this idea won’t be around for another year, sadly.

@a8+1jke0n6va i said the very first BUSINESS day of 1/1.... not New Year's Day itself. C'mon already. Take more than 2 seconds to thoroughly read the post. 🙄

I can only speak for myself, but I did not work on Jan 1. I did not even notify anyone I would not be working that day. I just did not show up on New Year's Day. I did not use any PTO time either 😁😁😁😁

You missed the whole point of the response. I don’t disagree with the impact. What I disagree with is having much of a following to do that.
But like I said good luck.

Hugs and kisses,
HR

OK HR. Nice try. It is indisputable that if a vast majority of the workforce was unreachable on the very first business day of 1/1, that operations (both on the business but especially on the technology side) would be brought to a grinding halt.
