It’s been my experience that V has some really good leaders and some excellent employees. Recently took on a new job and current leadership hierarchy is insane. Everything is a priority, everything is last minute and everything is blamed on the people. When did leaders stop taking responsibility for the fact they speak more than they listen, they don’t trust the experts that do the work day in and day out and they think we can keep up with the work when the tell us to make one thing the priority. Verizon you have a problem with some of your leaders - cursing, bullying and intimidating are terrible leadership qualities. I’ve worked for three major corporations and had several leaders at Verizon over the past 10 years. Current leadership is the worse experience of my life! Forget Pulse, HR, Ethics…integrity is gone…I pray I finds something new soon so I’ll be gone too! Leaders that drive employees to tears and panic attacks shouldn’t be in leadership at all!

wondering if any hcl relatives are on the verizon board?
Yoli demands only a certain type gets hired and they are usually not qualified to lead or even clean toilets
People that talk like they just moved into a new organization and are shocked to find such poor leadership make me very VERY jealous. I've interacted with different leaders all around Verizon, trying to move away from bad jobs and find a decent one. What the OP describes is the only experience I've had from just about all of them... even the ones who pretend to be nice in public forums. I understand the need to "play the game" a bit. Medical Insurance and my salary do matter to me. I've got a family to feed and a mortgage to pay. But I'm still stunned by how many people around me not only take this cr@p, but smile as they do it and act like they enjoy it. "Did you see the latest Up to Speed? Exciting! We're going to have a great year!" : ( Can someone please enumerate for me where in Verizon ISN'T like this? Where are the reasonable jobs, where people just do a reasonable day's work for reasonable pay and don't have an emergency every five minutes and ever-increasing workload to make up for people previously laid off? Where people work for a company that compensates them for doing work of value; not some bogus "familial" bond based on mutually drinking the bathwater.
Hans Liberal Euro. Then the CEO of the two sales orgs; Indians. 2/3 top decision makers are Indians. Where are the Americans? Traditional white guy no need to apply
is this any different from how it has been for years?
we said the same thing in 2015 too
"Todd L org?"
would be my guess as well
constant panic over nothing
That was going to be my guess
Guess you aren't watching the ranks below. My office in telecom parkway is about 80-90% indian. And stuff like VSP gets rid of the older workers (i.e; white guys), making the ratio even higher towards indian staff.
I love the myopic liberal view, Verizon is run by Indians..... there are 3 out of 10 at the exec level.....
Reminds me of an old joke: The beatings will continue until morale improves.
Verizon is an Indian run and operated corporation at this point. you can't expect much better from a country that is inherently corrupt with a caste system, and backstabbers who only care about empire building for personal gain.
Play the long game and stay at Verizon. Something better will come along eventually. Unfortunately, there is no accountability or oversight to protect teams from leaders like you describe. The one time Pulse scores were bad for my VP, god help us all. The wrath and demand to say it to the leader's face in a meeting was something I'll never forget. I always ranked top pulse scores no matter what. I knew it was dishonest but what's really going to change for a leader who has been with the company over 30 years and continues to increase power? It just added more work and follow ups to an already overwhelming mountain of urgent requests and demands.
Frontier Communications exactamundo!!!!
Todd L org?
