Thread regarding Omnissa layoffs

What’s the incentive to stay?

So we now know the value of the terrible severance package being offered going forward. We’ve had no pay raises in two years, there is no job security and nobody can trust the executive leadership anymore. The ownership units are a joke and at this rate will be worthless in 5 years, if we last long enough to cash them out. Finally time to bite the bullet and get out of here on our own terms.

Lets see. The severance is terrible so that wont keep anyone around. Our technology innovation and features is about 1-2 years behind and we can now say with confidence that no investments will be made to change that. The culture that existed in some of the teams was nuked. There is no hope on raises. The employee program is a lie as none of the layoff folks is getting anything (at least prorated). Workloads are going to double to cover for the layoffs. Leadership has lied and can not be trusted.

Your incentive is to use this time to get your resume together, certs renewed and whatever life situations under control while you look for another job. A 2 month severance wont be enough time to find another job in the currently saturated market.

This exactly sums up the reality that my peers and I are faced with. There is no real incentive to stay. The ownership shares just vanish if you are laid off and there is no one knows if they are safe or for how long. The severance is laughable. Leadership can't be trusted. After the brutal cuts last week they didn't even communicate with those of us left holding the bag and wondering WTF just happened. Literal radio silence. It was a disgrace. At the very least, all of us at least need to have some sort of plan or vision for our next move, if not already actively taking steps toward that. Best of luck to all of you!

There is no incentive to stay, they want to sell the company off and create more vaporware. They spend more money traveling to customers, partners, and potential buyers for the main objective... Nothing else matters to them, they are only here for an investment and focused on THEIR returns.

No incentive to stay. Management have done nothing but shown they have no interest in keeping their employees. They are a burden to them and don't complain to Ben either, the people who do this are dissappearing.

There’s no incentive for employees, as the company is in decline, led by incompetent individuals, including the CEO, Senior VP of Product, VP of Marketing, Sales, and HR.

The product teams are led by two VPs of Products who lack expertise and innovation skills.

The sales team is composed of many junior employees, with many talented and experienced sales representatives leaving due to the recent layoffs. As a result, the PSO and customer success teams are almost entirely depleted, leaving the company with a lack of confidence from its customers.

I fully plan on looking for a job elsewhere now. I can’t trust these cowboys anymore, no incentive to stay and I honestly don’t believe in the future of the company.

No strategy, vision or general sense of direction apart from reactive knee-je-k counter measures as a vein attempt to keep our heads above water against the competition.

Get your certificates and resume in order and GTFO (no offense intended). It’s a sh-t show.

Once the job market improves, no incentive to stay, time leave. Only people staying will be those close to retirement, or those that are unemployable at other software vendors.
