Having signed the NDA myself I can say this is the most accurate I've seen on here so far.

HP was split into HP Inc and HP Enterprise, with Inc taking 99% of total debt.
I highly doubt this is going to happen to Dell. That big announcement you mention could be about anything else, for example, closure of your site and moving it elsewhere , or, selling your department to an outsourced vendor, like Accenture/ Cognizant/ Wipro.
Lots of NDAs for the super secret "Project Maverick" but I haven't heard of an NDA for a merger. However what it if in a plot twist, one has everything to do with the other?

I highly doubt about rumours of merger/split are happening.Over 1000 people in Dell has signed NDA regarding project Maverick, so this could be it.
Not heard anything.
If it involves a change that affects shareholders it has to remain secret otherwise a hefty fine from the SEC.
