@fd+1jkrb3zyx it's possible to grow jobs and overall working conditions for everyone without manufacturing, that's what was happening until the effects of Reagan's tax cuts and deregulation began (eg re-legalizing share buybacks) that directly resulted in stunted wage growth against CPI and allowed the rate of money siphoning by the bourgoise to increase dramatically. it's really obvious on the charts, e.g. https://aneconomicsense.org/2012/01/29/the-impact-of-reagan-good-for-the-rich-bad-for-most/
If no one has a job due to foreign labor then it doesn't matter how cheap non-tariff goods are. Your side doesn't get that. You jump up and down and scream and yell about the middle class disappearing, and then pitch a hissy when someone comes along to fix it.
The rich can afford cars and trucks at any price. The rest of us can keep our beaters going by watching Scotty Kilmer.
Donald trump is 100 percent responsible for implementing tariffs that will negatively impact American companies and consumers. Interesting to see that every post stating that fact is downvoted.
Sad end to what was once an American icon.
"Built Ford Proud" is going down with the rest of the company unless Farley, Billy Boy, and the BOD are kicked out. The Ford UAW rank and file will also be on the street if that doesn't happen. Save your 10K profit sharing, you are going to need it.
😱 Scary
I will always fight for the blue oval. I will protect it from those who wish it harm, both external and internal. Built Ford Tough.
Does this include the tariffs put on chinese manufacturers? Or are those exempt?
