Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Are we the next boeing?

The number of engineers we are replacing with cheep Indian labor will bite ExxonMobil in the rear for saving a buck.

Already is hurting us but we have come to accept mediocrity. I fear what happens when the shale runs out in Permian and Guyana is all tapped. We are losing engineering and project management ability so fast it will make your head spin!

The next Boeing? We're already worse than Boeing. Just wait and watch our refineries and chem plants blow up due to lack of maintenance and Indian engineering designs. Just wait for the fireworks.

In short, yes. 2025/2026 is going to be a challenge for stock markets. The easy answer albeit not long term solution is to cut, cut, cut all expenses. Matters not if it’s shortsighted, just needs to get the stock valuation through the quarter.

It is what it is. Get what you can here and head out. Or find a place here to work and follow someone around.
