Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

New RTO Policy

What is it? Seems like there was a change in January. I'm considering Fidelity as an employer.

Do NOT listen to others who are already working here and crib as they cannot leave and find any other job. Fidelity is like any other company focusing on RTO and micromanagement than productivity. I don't think at this point there are any companies left with integrity and care about their employees. Join only if the pay and bonus % is good, nothing else matters.

It's a BS, garbage nanny policy where you have to get you badge swipe in on your assigned week or make the dreaded "list" and also potentially reduce your year-end bonuses eligibility if your position will have that.

Run until you think you can't run any further. Then muster up some energy and run some more.

Or the manager that messaged the team to make sure they were in the office, then announced they wouldn’t come in because bad weather.

Don't consider fidelity unless you like a culture where your manager steals all the credits & accolades, demeans you for missing one day in the office while he / she leaves daily around 3pm

I’ve noticed a huge decrease in people coming in. Fidelity doesn’t do anything other than put your name on a list somewhere that that can use to fire you… but probably won’t.

There aren’t any consequences for anything other than nagging.
