I know one young girl in the supply chain (IT) who has been promoted six times in the last six years. Now, she is an associate director, and she started as an intern six years ago. She does not have the knowledge or skill for the position, but this proves that you are a good-looking woman who parades in front of the right people and becomes a favorite. You will get promoted. Unfortunately, if you are skilled, hardworking, and competent, they will offer you opportunities to gain visibility, and in the end, you will get nothing and go nowhere. This is how this company operates. BD culture su-ks and it is so toxic. Do not join this company and look for other jobs because this will get you nowhere.

It’s astounding how upper management operates in this company. It seems that the hierarchy is inversely proportional to intelligence—those with the lowest IQs somehow manage to claw their way to the top. It’s almost as if incompetence is a prerequisite for promotion.

What’s worse is that these individuals, lacking in cognitive abilities, often resort to unethical practices. They prefer to surround themselves with equally inept colleagues, friends creating an echo chamber of mediocrity and corruption.

Honestly, any advice aimed at upper management feels utterly futile. What we desperately need is an outsider—someone with fresh eyes who can cut through the rot and purge this place of its corrupt leadership. We need individuals who possess both the skills and integrity necessary to steer this ship in the right direction.

I feel for the founders, I feel for every hard-working colleagues, all of us deserve better than DEI incompetent nincompoop.

To anyone considering joining this sinking ship: if this job is your only option, by all means, take it. But if you have even a hint of potential, do yourself a favor and steer clear. You deserve better than to be dragged down by this toxic environment.

It is the culture of unrealistic expectation to get promoted every 5 years, as one of the posters was complaining that has led to this downfall. Middle and senior management is incompetent. It takes many people and bad attitude to bring down a company.

CIO and her d-mb VPs are checking the responses here. Does Tom know that all these VPs get kickbacks from IT services companies? Or is he part of the chain?

If we really care for patients, we should immediately fire these incompetent nincompoops rather than laying off good hardworking individuals.

People managers have a 40% weighting for 'DEI'-related goals, the repetition of 'belonging' and 'inclusion' is cultish, and now the CEO has to pipe up and be petty.

With government contracts/reimbursements in play I hope this all bites BD in the a-s.

As a Female working for this company I concur some of the women who are shmoozing to the top lying through their teeth on programs and failed initiatives have all become sr directors and VPs in very little time one year or less they’re climbing like there is no tomorrow .. however many of us who don’t drink the koolaid and who point out the issues and work out butts off to do what is right are not going anywhere .. I haven’t been promoted in 5 years and was told there is no further level for you in this role so u have to change roles / completely change functions or else this area for what u do BD will not put a higher level than what u r now aka middle management..

Right there with you! Tom doubled down today with his ridiculous comment.

The number of under qualified females (almost exclusively white) that have been hired or promoted 2+ levels higher than any man would be with the same qualification’s is quite literally criminal. Go ahead and down vote, but you know it’s true and you’re a fake in a position you don’t deserve.
