Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Next week

Are the rumors of cuts next week true? I've seen several posts here mention it but I don't see any evidence to support it. I'm not saying people are lying, I'm just hoping we can get some confirmation. I've been stressed out for months, I don't want to suffer through more unnecessary stress if I can avoid it.

What more confirmation do you need than months upon months of layoffs? Senior leadership has said point blank in All Hands meetings that lay off would be continuing, as an order of business. If you want to avoid continued stress, leave before they lay you off!

Sept 30 was supposed to be 100’s of remote people managers. Not sure why that did not happen.

HR talking points - last week - to Directors and above included the following:

  • done for 2022 except for a few, minor "adjustments"
  • but there will be more in 2023

Not sure how much HR talking points are worth these days.

@iqr+1jlCeCTy Were you a contractor?

Most employees were let go around 10/15 due to delay in legal review of the separations and agreements

Predicting the next RIF under Frank is easy - it’s coming. In my time at FD I’ve seen this playbook. They hire like mad and they churn like mad. Now the hiring valve is almost closed but the RIF valve is never closed. Franks been doing the same thing for years.

Yeah the information posted here was generally accurate esp around the 5 day RTO, this brutal round of cuts and remote workers being targeted. Ride the Rocket troll guy was of course full of cr-p

My guess (for the little its worth) is layoffs will continue until the run up to Christmas when they will want stability for their peak business season. Cuts like we are seeing is not just cost cutting but a large re-org and the possible sale of legacy business units. We've seen the cuts so far but not the full reorg. Certain directors and managers will be competing with each other to keep their jobs.

After the re-org there will still be random layoffs but smaller in scale as they try to squeeze the workforce as much as possible with hiring freezes.

My only source for this is living through similar cuts when Frank and his crew joined FD.

What was the legal review? A lot of us were let go 9/30. Just curious…

Something is in the works. It was supposed to be Sep30, Oct31 and Nov30. As you know Sep30 got delayed due to legal review - so no idea what happens to the other two. These are much smaller than whatever already happened

There's no way to know for certain unless you have a connection in. However it does seem that the last 3 weeks when people said it would happen, it did.

I think at this point you have to hope for the best and expect the worst. Based on his leadership style, it's safe to assume that even if RIFs slow down for a bit, they will be back.

It would be test for everyone that when FB is done chopping off heads to state he’s done chopping off heads just to put all remaining employees at ease. But I don’t believe that’s his style. A very perverse form of management.
