How is everybody feeling about this? Are you prepared for it?

Likely March based on legal filings that must occur. Confirmed with an attorney who is with the firm actually working on the deal.
"Alexa remind me in May if it actually goes through, if not please post on this forum telling this person they were wrong"
Sh-t question.
May.

You’re welcome
You are not "nasty" for questioning the OP's "anytime now" comment.
No, you are nasty for calling the OP clueless, and implying their question was cr-p, simply because you disagreed with it.
That's why you are nasty. Hope that clarifies things for you
Wow! "Simples" ? sounds like something a middle schooler would say. Who knew VMware was hiring trolls, with the maturity level of a se-----y frustrated teenager?
Seriously, dude, there was nothing wrong with the OP's question. And since you are so much smarter than all of us, and have divine acquisition knowledge, please tell us the exact month the deal will close. Also while you're at it, I would love to hear about your extensive background in multi-billion dollar mergers and acquisitions, which qualifies you to belittle all of us.
Why are you all so b*tt hurt over OPs question, it's a legitimate question and pretty harmless. Go and have some coffee or something, ge-z.
Toxic culture? Don’t over react, it’s just a sh-t question.
Simples.
Good example of how toxic the culture is at VMware. No respect or civility.
Keep it classy.
OP is only asking if anything has changed. Management is sh1t and most “leaders” aren’t communicating to their employees. Just looking out for themselves. So people come here looking for insights. That’s okay to do..
Oh look, another di----t below. They’re really coming out of the woodwork recently.
If saying that the deal isn’t going to close “any time now” makes me nasty, then I guess I’m nasty. And apparently a little more familiar with how corporate acquisitions work than you. This deal was announced 5 months ago. Deals of this size don’t close quickly. Oh Broadcom wants it to close quickly?? Thanks for breaking that news! How d-mb are you? Every acquiring company in the history of acquisitions wants their deals to close quickly. Do you know how much that’s worth? Nada. This process is far from over, and it sure as sh-t isn’t going to close “any time now”.
Nasty commenter out.
In defense of the OP, any time now means we are now close to the window the deal could close. Like the jerk below pointed out, we don’t when it will close. So it could happen soon and it could also happen later no one knows. But it’s been months since the acquisition was announced. Broadcom wants this thing to close sooner rather than later, so it’s perfectly reasonable to ask everyone how they are feeling right now. Clearly the nasty person below isn’t handling it very well.
Well, looks like we found one of the more clueless people on this site in the form of OP…
No, we don’t know it’s happening “any time now”. And posting this kind of cr-p without any actual information to share is a waste.
Let me add a disclaimer and say that I don't know the date. I just meant that we all know it'll happen any time now.
