...why can't senior management, including the CEO position? Surely, there are competent CEO types offshore who will do the job for much less than the local 'talent'?

I'd feel a lot better about coming into the office if the people I worked with were there, too. They are all overseas.
Just because they can and do outsource middle management. It doesn’t mean they should. There’s not a lot of competence going on
They do outsource big decisions to consultants such as McKenzie, 🙄but then they continue to reap massive compensation
Why outsource? AI can easily replace L1- L3.
