Didn't receive a single negative feedback. Was a top achiever last year. Even promised a promotion this year.

If you were promised a promotion, get a lawyer. Verbal promise is enforceable. You’ll be blackmarked, so start looking for another job, but you will get a higher severance.

You will get nowhere contesting a rating.
