That is a horrible attitude, especially when starting a new job

Best of luck to you! There is always good, and less than good, in all departments.Figuring out which is which early will be the key to your success. One Schwab is a nice philosophy in theory, but I personally haven’t witnessed it much. But there is always hope. Again best of luck and welcome!

Start looking for a new job now! Or settle in for years of Schwab ‘nice’

Say yes to every idea from your MD; ask for advice and pretend do listen; socialize ideas to get feedback and ignore them; always agree with your manager and his manager; rate your leadership team as “premium “ or “ best in class”; label every idea as “good for our clients”; pretend you don’t see the lack of diversity in senior leadership…. What else?

First off, you messed up by expecting the offer. Lets just get that out of the way. Now, to survive, make sure you say "yes" and nod your head a lot. You probably should get an electric muscle massager for the neck. The constant nodding will become painful over time. You will get used to it after 6 months, and those that don't, there is workers comp. Keep nodding. Keep saying "yes". Repeat. You will do fine. Welcome to Schwab.
