Thread regarding ALDI layoffs

How is this not newsworthy?

Wait a darn minute, Aldi must be working overtime to keep this layoff of Corporate staff out of the news. Especially when cuts are being made globally.

Post ID: @2dg+1jmbny5yc Correct. It's called a State WARN Notice and depending on the U.S. State companies do No need to report publicly that they're doing Layoffs.

For example, the minimum number of Laidoff people in any given round could be 100 in a particular State. And so, Aldi will need to publicly disclose that it's Laying off 100+ people.

Aldi is doing it strategically. You don't have to announce layoffs or report them to the government unless there is a certain amount of people let go. Aldi is staying under that number so that they don't have to report it and, therefore, unless someone blows the whistle the layoffs go under the table.
