Hello, I’m new to this site. I’ve been with UP less than two years. One thing I’ve noticed is that my managers absolutely have no clue about what’s going on. Is this a common thing at UP?

The UP management is filled with nothing but id--ts.. They’re guys that couldn’t do the actual work
OK how long does one need to be there before they're capable of understanding what's going on? Why are some new hires quitting already? If they don't know what's going on yet, then why quit? Why is the UP having difficulties in hiring, if good people aren't even applying to work there? You can lie to yourself about the UP all you want. You don't need to be there for very long at all to understand what's going on.

Sorry to hear you got a job there. The management is a joke there plain and simple. The management will lie to you and lie about you to cover their own a-s. DO NOT TURN YOUR BACK ON THEM!
It doesn’t seem like anyone knows what’s going on, management or union. The only positive thing about UP is it makes a huge amount of money regardless of its employees.
