Massive layoffs communicated today impacting the health coaching program areas including supervisors. They didn’t tell us how many staff will be reduced but encouraged us all to look for new jobs.

Massive as in 20+ people have found new roles and they are still telling us massive reductions are STILL coming and encouraging every single person to apply for jobs external and internal. No longer selling coaching to accounts over 3000 so will be very little need for health coaches. We had a tobacco sme as a team lead and they demoted her and said only nurses can be a lead. They already eliminated a sup with ex phys background last week when they said we had until June…but they showed us last week it could happen anytime. It appears Cigna only wants RN
I'm curious about which CM team had layoffs. I would most certainly take a voluntary layoff if given the opportunity.

The OP said that they weren't told how many were laid off. If you've been following this situation at all, Cigna has been purposefully hiding numbers laid off for at least 2 years. Sometimes people have more detailed insider information, but this person doesn't. Still helpful.
Why do you say massive when you can't define "Massive" with a %. Irresponsible.
I'm sorry to hear that. What a shame. Coaching actually does good for our patients. I hope you find a new job soon.
