Carryover PTO and displacement

Hi guys, was displaced in Jan. Before I could take my 40 hours of carryover (was planning to use it in early Feb.). Will I be paid for this when I am terminated next month? The displacement guide has nothing on carryover and I have emailed HR with no response. Thanks.

YES, you DO get carryover. Your PTO earned balance is your EARNED balance. It cannot be taken from you. Even if you voluntarily quit you are owed the balance of EARNED PTO>

I was let go before EOY and had scheduled PTO above the 5 day carryover. Wells paid me just at year-end for the balance of PTO OVER the 5 day carryover. Then, at the date of my final payout as an employee I received a separate deposit for the balance of PTO as-shown by using the PTO balance calculator, which you can access in the 'Manage PTO' section. That figure was my 5 day carryover PLUS the number of hours/days I was considered as having earned up until that check date, even though I was at home on notice.

People want to bad mouth the company but I have had ZERO issues with communication, information, pay, etc. And the displace worker email is very quick and helpful.

I would call HR. I don’t think you get carryover, but HR knows the answer.

You can trust the PTO 'balance as-of' tool. I was paid out exactly what I had as excess for 2024 as well as what was my earned balance up until my final day of notice period.

Very impressed with how Wells has handled the $$ part of all of this.

Yes for the carryover since that was accrued last year.
