Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

TImeline for buyouts / layoffs

Does anyone have information about how many people are taking the buyouts? I know the deadline to accept the buyout but then what is the layoff timeline after that? And what if more accept the buyout than they needed? IS anyone asking their leaders about numbers so far? I think my leader (Sr. Director) is taking the buyout and doesnt seem interested in asking more questions to give the rest of us more information.

After always receiving 4/5s in my reviews my new director gave me a 2! He has harassed me as well (I did get him in trouble for that). I would have loved to have gotten a buy out. I’m making, once again less. 2 years in a row. I keep hoping I can find a new opportunity.

Believe me, they told the GL 30+ O&E team as little as possible as well. Your leader doesn't know because they haven't told them. I'm going to speculate that they use March and April to reshuffle resources and start layoffs, if necessary, around then to get the rest of their books by mid year.

I have not been offered the buyout but am interested in asking for one. What is offered from the buyout? Also has anybody had luck getting one from departments not affected?

safe bet is April since Q2 and by then they know how much more to trim. The gloves will come off and no more illusion of nice.
