Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

OP here… confirmed that other members of the team and in same role have had 1:1s cancelled and a new 1:1 scheduled for Tuesday. The original 1:1s were scheduled at various times throughout this week, and now we’re all being shoehorned into meetings on Tuesday morning.

Now back to being a snowflake… :)

Many of my friends have been displaced in the past four years. Sometimes it is scheduled late in the afternoon day before, sometimes first thing in the morning. I'd say about 50/50.

When I had to lay someone off, I moved our regularly scheduled 1x1 to the morning of the layoff date. Good luck!

some folks who get laid off, or are afraid of being laid off, may be in different circumstances than you are, skippy.

The meeting invite can be sent the previous day later in the afternoon. My manager sent it & then took 1/2 day of PTO.

sorry to say this is common. im getting laid off in a march impact and the meeting is already on the calendar. a lady on my team got laid off last month and manager put the meeting on her calendar as a 1:1 a week before. the instructions are clear but leaders/admins don't follow instructions

why not ask them. people move meetings all the time, likely just coincidental. even if showing free they have their own schedule they are dealing with. woundnt worry too much about it
