The YTR statement does not match bonus amount in Workday and it is a known issue. Mgrs stopped giving out the statement as will be corrected. Let's hope the first check includes the accurate bonus as shown in workday...has nothing to do with last year or next years bonus as people have been saying...

↓↓↓↓↓↓↓ Forgot to include, just in case:

And that whole 'what could be' scenario would be through 2025 year end, payable next year.

Hey, I'm not looking at they year's YTR at this moment to use the exact wording, but they did say there was something new on this report. Instead of if saying what the 2024 bonus paying next week IS, they chose to present it as this is what 2025's bonus will be at your new pay rate, with the assumption of 100%. So it's a ballpark I guess, but not likely accurate since this 2024 was 114%, for example.

Actually, there is a penalty. My parents take a lump sum RMD in Q4. Because withholding is only done in that one quarter, it triggers and makes them list out when payments are made in the year on various other money, including their taxable social security to see if the penalty can be waived. Does it for state taxes, too. Do it often enough in large enough amts of under withholding and the IRS can start requiring quarterly payments, even from individuals.

“Incorrect...

Under witholding is subject to penalties.”

Wrong! I’ve done it every single year for the past 26 years ya mo--n.

The bonus listed in my 2025 Annual Compensation Statement (released to me today) is a couple grand less than what was listed in Workday a few weeks ago. I have not been back to Workday to check to see if anything had changed.

“We don’t get them until 3/6 and it’s taxed about 40% so always much lower than the paperwork.”

Tell me you don’t know how to adjust your tax rate on a check without telling me.

Were you people born yesterday?

You can literally choose what tax rate you pay for every single check.

You are not required to pay any taxes until the following year at tax time. You people are soooo stupid it’s hilarious.

it looks like workday just uses your role target %, rather than the announced merit. i recall prior YTR statements uses announced merit.

Here's a less polarizing answer.

Yes, many of us found the success bonus does not add up.
It seems to be a miscalculation in what was reported to us, and I expect it will be corrected if it was done for many.

My calculations show that instead of the company success %age being used, 1 + merit% was used. I haven't confirmed this with others (we only got the numbers today), but I know that my manager will report the issues to HR tomorrow.

We don’t get them until 3/6 and it’s taxed about 40% so always much lower than the paperwork.

This is the correct answer, and this is why you're seeing a few thousand less in your payment history than what was on the compensation report.

The information that was released today is your raise not your bonus.

YTR means "your total rewards"
clearly you have never received a YTR before.
Because it shows your salary and success bonus.

The thing to keep in mind is it indicates the TARGET incentive for your job title.
Not the ACTUAL bonus.
The number received last month in workday is your actual bonus.

Why they couldn't be bothered to put the actual number there? Who knows.
but it does say success bonus TARGET

It sounds like you are a low performer that probably ought to be let go.
