So in the next 2 weeks, relative to just Upstream: CVE is losing its: COO, EVP Upstream, SVP Upstream. This list doesn’t include the massacre coming in Downstream. Upstream is the only thing keeping this company afloat, yet key figures are bailing and being replaced with Husky people who nearly bankrupted that company. Explain to me like I’m 5 please.

God help us if they keep parachuting in former Husky leaders into these VP roles. These people literally destroyed a once great company and brought it to the brink of bankruptcy before Cenovus saved it. I haven’t seen this many incompetent people get rewarded since Trudeau’s first election win!

The mgmt is going for a “retreat/work session”. Problem is no one will be honest and just tell Jon he is the reason why everything is going wrong. Leadership starts at the top and he’s a bad leader. He doesn’t inspire anyone.
Too many DEI hire at this company. The Senior management and up are only interested in there move up and their buddies pocket books. Everyone else is left holding the blame for poor performance from their decisions.
Jon is on borrowed time. He has one year left max.
The deep voice and image only gets you so far. He’s had enough time to produce results. Shareholders will make the decision after another year of dead capital.

I think Jon does not know how to run a company this size. For all
his austerity talk, I heard he is taking all the directors and above to a two day leadership summit to Kinaskis.
Oh and the narcissistic leadership, like many other issues that get no slap or boot out the door or held accountable for ! No wonder the place is sc--wed like none other.
