“Federal Communications Commission chair Brendan Carr on Thursday opened a probe into diversity practices at Verizon, opens new tab and raised the telecommunications company's ongoing effort to purchase Frontier Communications, opens new tab.
Carr, a Republican designated by President Donald Trump last month, earlier this month told NBC News-parent Comcast, opens new tab he was opening a similar probe into the company's promotion of diversity, equity and inclusion programs. Verizon is awaiting FCC approval for its $9.6 billion purchase of Frontier.”

I dare the FCC to try and derail this. I will keep DEI on the books for all US locations but have zero diversity in any other countries around the globe. If I can use this to keep the employees in the US squabbling at each other they won’t notice how their jobs are going overseas until it’s too late. Bring it on FCC, you don’t have the testicular fortitude to stop this merger or threaten any other actions against my woke agenda.
Go90 was great. I'm a content creator that got paid $100k for videos that got 100 views.
Haha I 2nd bringing back go90. Hum, Yahoo, AOL, and Bluejeans too! Most recently, the huge success of VGS causing all other business groups to do VSP since VGS failed to offshore bodes well for the integration of Frontier. What a legacy for the best in class VGS leadership, many of whom took “long planned retirements” after just 2 years since forming the group. No doubt leadership that burns out their teams with endless pointless reorgs will mismanage this too. Change energize us! Power and Empower! Go beyond!
Frontier deal is bad for Verizon , maybe FCC do Verizon a favor,
The acquisition of Frontier is a fiber buy so that Verizon has something to sell to hyperscalers. AI Connect cannot be successful without Verizon owning more fiber
Forget frontier
- Bring back go90. Marni rules.
Kwame was looking forward to this deal and is not a dei hire
But heres the real question where is andy chang please someone needs to do a wellness check he was last on up to speed with han!@#$%
VZ lost billions on yahoo. VZ IS TRASH. VZ IS TOILET FODDER.
NO MORE FOREIGN CEO’S. LAST GOOD ONE AT VZ WAS IVAN!!!!
Ivan Seidenberg (born December 10, 1946) is the former chairman and CEO of Verizon Communications Inc.
His telecommunications career began more than 40 years ago when he joined New York Telephone, one of Verizon's predecessor companies, as a cable splicer. He went on to lead Verizon from its inception in 2000, first as co-Chief Executive Officer, then as sole CEO, and then as CEO and chairman. Seidenberg stepped down as CEO in July 2011 and continued to serve as chairman and as a member of the Verizon Board of Directors through December 2011 when he retired from the company, succeeded by Lowell McAdam.
This was wrong deal to begin with. FCC may be helping Verizon here tbh. Frontier is a failed business and will never turn around.
