Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

GLINT survey... work life balance question. Already hearing, we know our results will be worse from IT leaders

I have already heard, complete the survey...we dont expect that the results are going to show any improvement. Why ask about work life balance that doesnt exist? Why add a question like will you still be here in two years. Why not check in on employees who arent earning vacation because they are called into work on their days off. I would bet HR could pull a report of who isnt or hasnt earned vacation because they are at their max. Thats something that could be done... make sure people are taking time off and verify it and not ask if the objectives are met.

Lol, the survey’s are a trap. Everyone always biatches and then management will do sh!t to fix it that will make you even more unhappy. Then, when you bi---h about what they’re doing, they’ll just point up the survey and tell you that you asked for it.

Glint surveys change nothing. Every year I've been here they've been abysmal.. and exactly nothing has changed.

Lol.. Chevron IT literally doesn't care that you're shopping around. Face it, everyone in IT is job shopping because you can make 2x working anywhere else compared to CVX IT.
Leadership has already publically said they know they're underpayment IT and have no plans to change it.

This is just another in a long line of management "surveys" which will be massaged to show what a caring, dynamic, community-supporting workforce Chevron has. You have to ask yourself why Chevron does these - employees know it's all lies, management knows it's all lies. Are these just to keep the HR and PR departments busy?

Work/Life balance has never been more skewed or messed up than it is now. Are you working in the office 5 days a week? Commuting? WFH 2-3 days a week?

some rather silly questions if mgmt will actually believe in the responses. Of course, people are going to say they have no work life balance (even tho most have more life time than work time!) and that they plan to leave within two years to skew potential changes to their advantage.

Make your voices heard. That survey matter to management more than you know. Want better pay? Tell them you’re shopping around, and Chevron can’t be complacent to keep talent.
