Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

If you're skirting 5x8 expect your name to be on the shortlist come layoff season...

Outside or top level sales performers, who really get special dispensation from RTO , everyone's attendance will be a factor when layoffs happen after Q1 results..

Is that all it takes? 7:45 a day and I get 6 months of pay?

"I’m an EXEMPT manager and by law they cannot coach or discipline me for hours worked. You don’t get to benefit by not pay overtime bc you classify us as exempt and then also treat us as Non-Exempt. Thats illegal."

Really? So an exempt employee can randomly decide to only work 20 hours a week? And employer can't discipline them? I don't think so.

“Legal Risks – If an employer disciplines or terminates an exempt employee for not meeting a specific hour requirement (e.g., 40+ hours per week), they risk the employee being reclassified as non-exempt, which could lead to overtime claims.”

Best part is I don’t even have to prove I worked overtime as an Exempt manager. Their own tracking system does it for me. Apparently I work 11-12 hrs a day just in the office.

Someone owes me a lot of money if they think they can track my hours.

God I love how stupid they are.

“Hey EXEmPT Bad BOY, come back and tell us what's up with the suit case you'll carry after they walk you out post April 2025

all you f-g$ sTFU I'm "over it"”

Don’t think I care if you’re over it? Actually now that I know it bothers you so much, I want to do it even more. Here’s some ai for your dum azz

Let them try to coach me on my hours and I’ll have my childhood friend the employment attorney send them a nice letter. I update him weekly on the BS I have to deal with. Following his advice and documenting everything.

Best part I won’t have to even pay for it.

lol., you think getting eight hours a day is going to save you from being laid off.

Actually, it will. Incase you haven’t noticed this is the ONLY thing they care about right now. They just want heads to roll. They don’t care who it is.

They can’t prove it. The broken presence report is still very broken.

Or if your 50 years old or older

You’re! Not your.

You’re likely a low performer who ought to be let go.

Good. At least they will have to pay us to leave. They will pay us again when they have to bring us back as contractors. I will play their stupid games. I got time now, since productivity no longer matters.
