Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Any one else feeling the pressure?

The constant reminder for numbers and reaching out to customers is exhausting.

It su-ks because im not sure if we are even going to stay open. It makes me feel like I am working so hard for the higher ups, just for them to squeeze us as much as we can then dump us. Retail is dying.

Perhaps if they gave the same attention to physical stores and they so to Macys.com, we would be thriving like them.

Customers are being more conscience about where their money is going. Why would they open a credit card with almost 40% interest rate? Why would they come in when there are no deals when they have been spoiled to come in when there are deals every other month.

Does anyone else feel the same way? How is your store doing in sales?

The pressure to generate sales is insane. They are adding so many layers to the sales floor, area specific, ambassadors, that everyone is fighting for the same sale. They want ua to drive our clients from the my client system in to get sales from them but the company does nothing to drive NEW traffic through the doors. I am over it. I will not “fight” for a sale, I do not get paid enough and my “so called incentive structure” is not at all compelling

Like every other credit card in existence. there is nothing inherently wrong with opening one. Use them to benefit you; accrue points and cash back. Spend within your limit and pay them off in full.

It behooves the customer to open a Macys card, as long as they are financially literate. Don’t assume that are customer is not responsible.
