Just think, we could've been there doing a "job" and never worried about a layoff. I wonder what that feeling is like?

It's mind boggling to me to understand how different people's opinion can be of what is happening right now. Our economy is destroyed. Hundreds of thousands of jobs lost. An international trade war has begun. The world is laughing at us now!

Yes, and don't forget the measles. It's like the 1940s all over again in the US. Na-is coming to power, hundreds of children getting sick with cureable illness, we even have rich white men brainwashing farmers into thinking they are helping them by forcing their buyers to pay more for their goods. The Federal Government is too large. They have just begun the downsizing and it is needed. As being discovered by their internal audits they are definitely the waste, fraud, and abuse they were looking for. They also found ignorance. The Dept of Energy produces no energy or provides a service anyone can really use. The Dept of Edu needs to go, they seem too interested in indoctrinating the youth rather than good grades, the states each have their own departments without the Federal interference. If they went to a flat tax model, 14% for example, with no deductions or credits, then you can pretty much lay off 97% of IRS. It is all for savings, no rational company would have so much waste. In my opinion the entire Federal workforce needs to be cut 70% with only essential employees remaining. They have already begun ousting government employees with BS titles like "DEI Specialists, etc". I'm very happy they are losing their grip on power, they want socialism, a proven failed model.
People are devoid of having any sympathy for others. These are people who worked to put food on their tables to feed their children. The fact that there are people on here celebrating the cutting of jobs says karma is biotch!
This is what a lot of you all voted for. Mass firings, job and 401k losses, a dismantling of our government, and rich white men who blow up spaceships defining our freedom. Oh and an international community of allies now hating us, and us in bed with Russians. Are you supporters all happy?

@ag+1jnpz5bnw Trash refers to the jobs not the people. Government doesn't produce anything. Every government job is paid for by tax payers from productive positions. It's a drag on the economy. We do it because some services are needed, but the vast majority of today's US gov is bloat and waste.
Referring to human beings as trash says more about you than it does about them.
unfortunately they are only cutting people who are still in probationary period. there's a lot of trash out there that needs to be cut still
