I used to get upset about the silly things that Fidelity did like make an associate role requirement needed at least a college degree… then putting someone in who barely passes high school as that teams manager. Then I realized, people literally dress like clowns at work, why would I expect management to have common sense.

Recently a VW Bug pull into employee parking lot and 20 got out, all wearing colorful wigs, red noses, and oversized shoes. They attacked me with seltzer bottles. I contacted HR.
Oh no, we have a triggered boomer in the house. What percentage of fidelity employees have a gender studies degree? Find that information then I’ll humor your little debate.

Is a degree in gender studies or art history a good requirement? Just because someone has a college degree doesn't mean they are competent. Plenty of people with these majors may be -but some may not have the background that's a fit for different roles at Fidelity.
I saw one guy in the office in giant floppy shoes, wearing a spinning bow tie, with a flower in his br---t pocket that sprayed water.
Now they hire high school flunkies to run branches. Without college can’t have a CFP. Customers are getting trash. It’s going to have an impact.
