Layoffs without knowing the people - Technical Sales Manager IBM Employee Review

Finally saw a honest review on glassdoor

https://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/Employee-Review-IBM-E354-RVW95570993.htm

Pros

Training is good but not deep and the benefits are very good.

Cons

I was the top sales person and laid me and my whole group without thinking. I have now heard that IBM lays off without intelligence and will lose great people.

They just gutted whole internal teams today with that blanket RTO directive and many of the remainders have a foot out the door. Decades of experience and subject matter experts flushed down the drain in the name of collaboration.

They do the needful to increase offshore labour to be more competitive. Americans are lazy and want to work from their houses. Easy to qualify more foreign labourers. It is simply as this.

Remember IBM’s number one goal right now is cost take out. Technical expertise for the most part is a secondary issue. Ready, fire, aim pretty much nets out IBM’s executive management strategy and their execution
