Misplayed the game. HR is not your friend ever they are always company first. Favoritism happens everywhere since you were leaving should have just humored the id--t manager and trained the id--t friend as many times as needed to run out the game clock til 5/1.

I wish you the best of luck I agree the favoritism is outrageous at this company. People are promoted that can't do sh*t and it's the peons that are carrying them and making them look good. Living in limbo the way we are is wrong. Changing our positions when we are grade 27's and 28's and making us call ctr employees that are 23's and 24's is wrong and we still have our regular jobs to do on top of this. I am so disappointed with this company and it's heartless leaders.

Thank you to the person who said can you guys read, this is exactly what happened when I accepted the buyout no one came to follow up with me about it. Instead my supervisor and I had a disagreement about a work issue that she saying I trained someone incorrectly which happens to be a friend of hers she hired. She was trying to give me a written write up! I refuse to sign it which we all have that right, and instead I went to HR and reported her because it was favoritism of her friend coworker she hired that was new to the team and doing work incorrectly but wanting to blame me for bad training if I was so bad as a trainer why were other workers doing assignments correctly right after the HR thing she gives me a final CAP right up saying insubordination because I refuse to retrain her friend if she saying I trained her wrong and supervisor agrees why would I retrain her it escalated because I reported her back to HR the very next month I’m terminated in my termination paperwork she listed insubordination disorderly conduct and making false claims to HR in my state if you fired for those reasons unemployment is automatically denied! I live in Alabama! Therefore I went to EEOC & unemployment attorney to file a claim which I don’t pay them nothing because the get paid after the case is over! So yes I’m suing them because they took my buyout funds my severance funds and denied my unemployment for gross misconduct. I’m aware Alabama is an at will state but this type of harassment will not be Ignored it’s not about the money it’s about the principle of a conniving master manipulator supervisor and in taking this all the way to the END! I hope that clears up this weirdo comments some yall live in delusional land stay there I’m doing what I have to do!!!

The whole post is two long sentences, with an exclamation mark to divide the sentences. It's not that people can't read. To the poster, I'm sure when they fired you, you were told what you did wrong. If it's not clear, ask HR for the reason and file a dispute against your old department for possible retailation.

Can you guys even read? It’s really not that hard to understand. I swear I think you don’t even try.

  1. She put in for the voluntary buyout.

Everyone that put in and is accepted will work until may 1st.

  1. They fired her before the buyout occurred because that doesn’t happen until May 1st. It’s still March!
  1. She filed for unemployment bc they fired her.
  1. They denied her unemployment for misconduct.

They will have to prove the misconduct but that probably won’t be too difficult. They have such a vague policy that you can be fired with cause for anything minor that can be twisted. A text the tone of your voice. Etc. this company def sux.

She said they laid her off with no severance after she accepted the buyout. This can't be true because if they laid her off they would have followed the usual severance policy and for 19 years she would have gotten severance. This description to me means she might have accepted the offer but then she was fired. She would have been let go that day, thus the ability to file for unemployment. They are currently asking people who are on CAP's to extend their last day till 8/7 so a CAP isnt the issue. She got fired for something, regardless if its right or wrong, and that is why the unemployment dispute. The missing info is she got fired and what reason did they give.

They weren't on a CAP. They elected to take the buyout, was terminated at some point, and later the unemployment was denied/challenged for misconduct. However, if UHC cannot provide anything to back that up - the employee could still get unemployment, depending on the state.
But I do think something was left out here, maybe a detail or 2.

File your lawsuit, include the details you may have left out here, I hope it's successful!

It sounds like you took the buyout, but you were on a CAP. So since you voluntarily resigned, while being on a CAP, they may have decided to let you go.

if you used the same punctuation in your unemployment paperwork as this post, i understand why it was denied.

You filed for unemployment while still working, that is considered fraud and misconduct. They have you dead to rights

This person sounds like it’s time for them to retire. Filing for unemployment before they are let go? That is fraud and def qualifies as misconduct 😀

If you opted for the buyout, when is your last day?
In most cases ppl are there til 05/01/2025.

Why would a person file for unemployment before last day?
Just trying to get better clarification.

It says they laid them off without severance (even though they elected the buyout). So the resignation was not fulfilled. It was a "layoff". They probably think they can get away with this unless you can afford to hire a lawyer because a lot if people probably wouldn't be able to fight it.

Call HR get the agents name and agent id. Tell her you want a copy of every write up, cap, or other misconduct case. It's your legal write to request it. If there's nothing notate it and have your lawyer subpoena the same. If they can find it then you got UHC by their inscrupulous ba--s. Good luck

The C-Suite has a family to feed too, ya know?

I joke. Stuff like this is why the news thought Mangione was a disgruntled UHG employee.
