I really thought Schwab was a much better place than it turned out to be. Elsewhere, too, the employee should mostly be a yes man and glorify his manager in order to be more comfortable at his job, but here it's all about over-inflated egos. Expectations from favorites are low, and expectations from those who are not among the manager's favorites are unrealistic. How disappointed are you in Schwab?

I’ve never seen cross-org morale lower. Everyone is so burnt out and we’re constantly told to do more with less. If certain things happen I will be leaving.
@4jwa+1jo6HEAS Senior Staff Software Engineer is over 750K TC, so I'd say that's easily 3x TC.
But if you're here to argue base vs TC and are happy with 🥜 at Schwab, you do you.
Really? Twitter staff make over $700K a year base?
Twitter empowers employees.
Twitter salaries are 3x that of Schwab.
Twitter actually ships code more than twice a year.
Boy if guys thought you have it bad here at Schwab, imagine working at Twitter. Let that "sink in".
I was excited to join Schwab. I was hopeful it would be similar or even better than my last gig. I couldn't have been more wrong. Unimaginable bureaucracy, extreme waste at all levels, some of the lowest morale and hands down the most coasting I've ever seen. I've tried and tried to influence change but it is ultimately fruitless when nobody else cares. I'm now one of them. A true blue. Collecting a paycheck and doing the bare minimum. Nodding, smiling, festering, rotting.
Paycheck keeps hitting my bank account on time every time. Mission accomplished.
