I think they're just trying to placate us and make sure we're not asking too many questions. Think about it. The economy is in the crappers and a recession is near guaranteed, everybody and their grandma are laying people off and in all of that, we're supposed to be safe? I don't buy it.

I don’t understand why we’re still hiring. We have tons of reqs open yet our raises and benefits are being cut like we’re going broke. I don’t get it.
unemployment claims fell, the labor market is still tight. Initial claims are lower than expected. Just because you seen a few anecdotal stories about layoffs doesn't mean the economy is crashing.
A recession isn't certain, just this week Goldman Sachs pegged it at 35% chance.
Do you mean eger? I believe there aren't any planned, but that doesn't mean there won't be sometime next week year.
Everyone is always only a few moves from layoffs. If TMO and VZW decided to cancel the contracts network is as good as done.
