The OP is asking here, because Verizon has become a haven of corporate cowardice. Very nearly no one tells the truth openly, within the walls of the business and definitely not on Slack where big brother is watching. There are a few who try to be genuine, try to do the job with integrity, and watching the rest of the merry fools bend over backwards trying not to offend anyone and eagerly drinking the bathwater and saying it's yummy - it's gotten to just be disgusting. It's a game of chicken. Who will give in first and actually tell the truth to the people above us? Even the most negligent teams are not held accountable. Anybody can do anything, because no one cares, as long as we all keep smiling pretty.
I care about keeping my job, but I also have a teensy bit of self-respect and object to the gross incompetence we exhibit on a daily basis, circling the drain. What good is keeping a job if the whole company goes under, while driving our customers nuts? Then when we are customers, we complain at the same awful corporate treatment we dish out. Karma.
So yeah, not surprised OP has to ask here. No one actually in the company envrionment will tell someone else if the group they are potentially joining is a complete sh't show. They probably don't even let themselves see it.
