Surprised FAA hasn't canceled their manufacturing certificate and NASA still works with them given Boeing's dishonesty and gross under performance.
Yeah, there have been leaks that Boeing is angling for a breakup and sellout. Really the only way to increase stock price and executive wealth at this point and also the only focus of Boeing in recent years.
Some talk lately that SpaceX should buy Boeing and break it up. But it makes little sense to buy a company you have already crushed. Plus it's not like Boeing has anything significant worth acquiring anymore...expertise, quality workforce and most real estate are gone. Mostly only massive loan debt and pension expense left with rapidly declining market share for all products. Of course, Boeing was d-mb enough to purchase MD...which I think only proves that Boeing was miss-managed even before the MD purchase...which some would say was really MD purchasing Boeing with Boeing money...
Expect Boeing will terminate the Starliner NASA contract at some point. No longer any profit potential as SpaceX now has all the remaining flights to ISS. And can't imagine Boeing/NASA would risk lives using this poorly engineered and unsafe system. But then again, Boeing put the known to be unsafe 737Max into service and they want to continue keep delivering unsafe 737s that lack a proper crew alerting system. I guess for Boeing, stock price always trumps lives.

Every company in aerospace now surpasses Boeing... It is only glorifying past history and stock mercenaries that keeps Boeing afloat. Boeing couldn't successfully engineer a paper bag in time of war.
Yeah, don't work for Boeing if you are capable, honest, intelligent and hardworking. It won't be rewarded. Only nepotism is rewarded at Boeing. And this inbreeding that has been going on for decades created the degenerate Boeing leadership that destroyed the company.
I tell people that Musk didn’t just start SpaceX from scratch, he had a lot of very bright experienced people from Boeing, because Boeing did not try to keep their employees. In fact, they were laying them off.
Starliner program was part of the reason Boeing has such a huge third-quarter loss.
Some of best people I had honor to work with at Boeing left Boeing and helped SpaceX achieve what they have done. Companies really shouldn't promote losers and get their best people angry.
