Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

As infuriating as it all is…

It’s also all sooooo incredibly sad.
What Charles R Walgreen worked DECADES to build, followed by his son & then grandson… just gone. To greed.

I will never forget working at the corporate office hearing about Kevin walgreen walking out of a meeting and quitting the company. That spoke volumes.

I was thinking that Walgreens gained initial success by filling prescriptions for alcohol when it was banned during the 20s. Therefore, the company was built on corruption.

Walgreens has been a corrupt company for some time now. And I don't say that lightly. The lawsuits they pay out, the taxes they don't pay and are owed. Yet they whine about theft and make sure their employees do bag checks as if they are the criminals. When they are the corrupt ones. And they don't even bat an eye about it. It's totally unreal.

I'm sure Walgreens was a wonderful company to work for in the distant past. Working here from when Wasson was in charge to the present has been anything but wonderful. No tears for Walgreen's demise.
