I'm hearing lots of rumors of comp plans being changed to 30% base and 70% commission. If this is true then myself and probably others can't afford to stay here, my account set is garbage and rely on base to pay for rent and other necessities but won't be able to afford to live if they heavily cut base pay. Already wasn't planning on staying long as I got sc--wed over from a promotion and have had no career progress in almost 3 years of working at Dell but if this is true it's definitely accelerating my departure.

Sales is notorious for low base pay, the struggle is real. They dangle the golden carrot, promising big rewards, but at the end of the day, sales reps are left scrambling for the crumbs.
Dell just set the new sales quotas - looks like I’ll need to sell a data center, a spaceship, and maybe my soul to hit target this year!
I'm trying but job market is rough and I can't afford to up and quit. If I could I would have left a while ago.

Dell is a bottomless pit of things getting worse
